I'm sure there are some people
who've read the page telling my visitors about me and wondering what expertise
I have on any of the topics which make the advice or information reliable. All
I can do is tell you the information is true and accurate as of the time of
the writing. When it comes to matters of the law or statistics, I will only
compile research based on the information presented at the websites of
reputable individuals or organizations. The main research was done to gather
information for my novels so the stories reflect proper police procedures and
enforcement of the law. I wouldn't want anyone within the ranks of law
enforcement to read anything in my novels or at this site which is not
accurate.
There will be times when people within law enforcement
do disagree with the things I write. This should have nothing to do with how
accurate and true the information is, but because they disagree with my
conclusions about the specifics of certain laws or procedures. As an example,
some people agree with the death penalty, some don't. When it comes to the
conclusions people draw, each person is free to agree or disagree with me on
any point. If anyone within law enforcement sees any glaring mistakes in what
I've written, please notify me via email of where you believe the mistake is
so I can make any needed corrections.
What you won't find here is any information based on
biased opinions of the law enforcement community as a whole. While I do
disagree with some laws and feel there are some police officers who shouldn't
be in their positions, you won't read anything blaming the police for the
actions of the criminals. Too often, people on the wrong side of the law blame
the police for what they, as the criminals, do. You also won't find any
information about or links provided to sites full of the latest conspiracy
theories about the police.
