So you think someone you know or love
may be using drugs. You see all the signs and symptoms [see my page on that
topic], but you haven't noticed anything else out of the ordinary. Maybe you
have but haven't realized what you're seeing. Your children or other family
members may have some new possessions that, seen alone, may seem quite
ordinary. Even if you may have your doubts, the person may have some reasonable explanations why they have
something. They have some razor blades for their razor ... seems logical only
if the person is old enough to shave and actually has a razor with blades
which can be replaced. They have some assorted little clips they use to work
on their crafts or hobbies ... seems logical only if they produce something
related to those interest. Some items are more clearly identified as drug
paraphernalia, such as syringes and needles.
I don't want anyone jumping to the conclusion someone
is using drugs because you find some stray, unexplained items laying around
the house. However, if these things are present along with the signs and
symptoms of drug use, there may be a reason to be concerned. Each item could
be a part of a larger "drug kit" [pictured below]. |
