Sam Johnson is computer expert who used to work
for the U.S. government. Because of some mistakes he has made in his life,
he has lost both his government security clearances and his job. He spends
time on the computer going into various chat sites for hackers on the
internet and finds their hacking techniques "lame" and the bragging
hilarious. There he meets Yung Gunz who he doesn't yet know is a detective
in Philadelphia. When she gets the permission from her lieutenant, Jake
Stalb, he volunteers to help her and her team to trace a computer hacker who
is scrambling the signals for the ankle monitors worn by parolees.
Sam is not a character I created from scratch like all
of the other characters throughout the Detetcive Jake Series. He is a
character created by my good friend, Scott Meade, for his novel, Twisted
Christians. As a way to thank Scott for all of his help with the
computer related material in Second Chances, Sam appears in the story
as a way to, hopefully, get people interested in Scott's work.
Although Sam Johnson seems to be the kind of guy people
would avoid, his words and actions in this novel reflect his characteristics
prior to the timeline set in Scott's book. If you would like to learn more
about how a man's life can be changed when he spends time in prison, read
Twisted Christians by Scott Meade.

Thank you again
Scott for all of your assistance. Without your help, the people who read my
book would know just how computer illiterate I really am. |
