Detective Jake Stalb must face the
facts that all of the evidence at the crime scene shows that the death was
caused by the victim committing suicide, yet his gut is telling him there is
more to the story. Does he hand off the case because it may not be a homicide?
What if his theory about the cause of death is so far-fetched all of the other
other detectives and his superiors will think he's crazy? Perhaps not all
homicides are as easily explained as most people would like them to be. Or
perhaps the real answer is being pushed aside because of Jake's own battle
with a secret he's been keeping even from his wife, Clarissa. There are
phantoms which haunt us all, now Jake must face his own personal demons.
