I had a dream and the dream came true.

     Beginning on the day I wrote the first paragraph of Detective Jake: The Search for Truth, I pursued my dream. All I wanted to do was write a novel, have it published, and have at least one person buy and read a copy. All of that has happened and so much more. Five books and many reviews later, I realize that there are people who have been entertained and who appreciate my writing.
     Second Chances is the last book in what I had planned as the original series. With this book, I feel I have been able to bring the subplot of Jake's search for God to a satisfying conclusion. I hope that everyone who has read all four books feel the same way. I also hope that you have enjoyed following Jake, Detective McCoy, and the others as they searched for clues and solved the cases.
     As I wrote each novel, I learned more about writing and I really enjoy creating what I feel are exciting, interesting stories. Along the way, I have created characters who I think have more to say and do. By asking myself what Jake or one of the other characters would do in a given situation, I have jotted down several ideas to develop into novels. Because of all of this, I am not yet ready to let Jake's story simply fade away.
